Despite this huge need, research into the condition is lagging behind other areas of health:
Treatments that act on the underlying causes of dementia are few in number and hard to access, with concerns about side effects
Treatments for symptoms are only available for some forms of dementia, with limited benefit
GlobalMinds Dementia exists to change this. It is a major research programme seeking to advance the understanding of the diseases that cause dementia and improve lives.
We want to contribute to discovery of a cure for dementia
GlobalMinds Dementia is creating a world-leading digital library of health information from people living with dementia.
Researchers will study this library with the aim of making discoveries that improve the detection, prevention and treatment of all forms of dementia.
